About us

Welcome to LVC

We are delighted that you are considering joining LVC. We have centres in Lincoln and Scunthorpe and are proud to put our students, local employers, and the community at the very centre of everything we do.

Because we care about your individual success, we put measures into place to ensure your chosen course delivers!

All the courses we run are designed to be learner led allowing the curriculum to be tailored to the individual learners needs. The classes are capped to a maximum of 8 students with exception of the Sports courses which are capped at 12 (this allows us to run team sports).

Whether you are interested in our full-time or part-time courses or an apprenticeship we hope that our offer is right you!

We welcome applications throughout the year. If you need any advice or have specific concerns at any stage of the application process, you are welcome to make an appointment to visit one of our centres and see first hand what we have to offer.

Who are LVC?

The Lincolnshire Vocational College is run by Alternative Educational Support Services Ltd. Offering Traineeships, Study Programmes and Apprenticeships to young adults (16-24) that require assistance in their post-16 studies and their transition to work.

Working with young adults (post-16) with mild to moderate special educational needs particularly learners with difficulties in communication and interaction; cognition and learning; Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

What makes LVC different?

Whilst learners attend our centres to study and up skill, the centres are run like a business not a school or college. This helps prepare our learners for their next step into the workplace, they will be given the opportunity to work on live projects often interacting with business owners and working to deadlines with the safety net of having the full backing of their LVC team.
